The Vehicle Drivers (Certificates of Professional Competence) (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018

These Regulations ensure that following the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union the existing requirements for professional drivers of lorries and buses to obtain a 鈥渃ertificate of professional competence鈥� will continue to operate in the UK. Currently such professional drivers, with some exceptions, must pass an initial CPC test (unless they have acquired rights), valid for five years, and undergo 35 hours of periodic training every five years
