The Criminal Justice (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018
The Criminal Justice (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018 (鈥渢he Criminal Justice SI鈥� or 鈥渢he SI鈥�) are made using powers in the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (鈥渢he Act鈥�). Its purpose is to address failures in retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU) by amending the domestic legislation which implemented five EU criminal justice measures.
