Drink-drive rehabilitation courses
How the course works
The course aims to stop you from drink-driving again. They:
- are either delivered face-to-face or remotely
- take place over 16 hours (usually run on 3 days spread over 3 weeks)
- will have other drink-drive offenders at them

After the course
You鈥檒l get a 鈥榗ertificate of course completion鈥� from the course provider when you complete the course.
They鈥檒l tell HM Courts and Tribunals Service and DVLA that you have completed the course so that your driving ban is reduced.
Your driving ban will not be reduced if you do not complete the course or do not pay for your course.
If you鈥檙e a 鈥榟igh risk offender鈥�
You need to reapply for a driving licence and take a medical if you鈥檙e classified as a 鈥�high risk offender鈥�. Check with your course provider if you鈥檙e not sure if you are.
