Check how much Income Tax you paid last year
Once your Income Tax has been calculated, you can use this service to check how much you paid from 6 April 2023 to 5 April 2024.
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) calculates everyone鈥檚 Income Tax between June and November.
You cannot check your Income Tax for last year if you paid any part of your Income Tax last year through Self Assessment.
This service is also available in Welsh (Cymraeg).
You may also be able to use this service to get a tax refund or pay tax you owe. You鈥檒l need a tax calculation letter (known as a 鈥楶800鈥�) that says you can do this online.
Before you start
You鈥檒l need to sign in to use this service. If you do not already have sign in details, you鈥檒l be able to create them.
You鈥檒l be told when you sign in if you need to prove your identity. This is to keep your details safe and usually involves using photo ID like a passport or driving licence.
