Use this service to update your charity鈥檚 details, such as the:

• main or working name for your charity
• governing document
• contact details, address or bank account details

If your charity is exempt

You cannot use this service to change your charity鈥檚 name or governing document if it鈥檚 an exempt charity. Contact your principal regulator instead.

if either:

• your governing document says you need their permission for the change
• you do not know who your principal regulator is

You will need a 鈥楳y Charity Commission Account鈥� to update your charity鈥檚 details. Find out how to request and set up a new account.

If you鈥檙e changing your charity鈥檚 main name, working name or governing document, you鈥檒l need to upload a PDF of the decision (鈥榬esolution鈥�) to make the change.

You may also need to upload a PDF of your:

• updated certificate of incorporation from Companies House, if your charity is a company and you鈥檙e changing its main name or working name
• new governing document, if you鈥檙e a charitable incorporated organisation
