5 December 2024: Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in commercial poultry at a premises near Watton, Mid Norfolk, Norfolk. A 3km protection zone and a 10km surveillance zone have been declared surrounding the premises. All poultry on the premises will be humanely culled.
